Although qualified as a CA, he chooses beer counting over bean counting and often finds himself looking at other peoples' shoes rather than his own. Derrick was educated down in the Cape and in early 2006, left the vineyards of Stellenbosch behind to take up a career with one of SA's leading investment banks.
